Thank you all for your comments, emails and calls over the last few days. Unfortunately, our Daisy did not make it. She died on Friday. It was a very hard day for all of us and I imagine it will be hard for awhile. I wrote a long post on our family blog so forgive me for not rehashing it all here.We spent Sunday and Monday visiting family. It was a good distraction. I hope to be back tomorrow with a card.
Have a blessed day.
I'm so sorry for your loss.

ReplyDeleteOh Tracy! I'm in tears as I write this! I know how painful this is for you and your family. We lost our dog, Abbey, to a terrible accident when she was almost 2 years old. We loved that dog to pieces, and I was devastated. All I can say is you will get through it. We got another dog within a month, and it took a while for me to warm up to her. I actually had "bonding" sessions with her every morning because I just felt that I was dishonoring Abbey. But as time went on, Kali was truly a blessing, helping to heal the pain of losing Abbey. I now also mourn Kali after having her for 14 years and have Lizzie to help heal losing her. Give it a while and try getting another pet to love. {{{Big Hugs}}}
ReplyDeleteOh Tracy, I am so sorry for you, Greg and the boys. Daisy was a beautiful dog, and even though mischievous, I'm sure she was much loved. Sometimes those traits in animals (and kids) make us love them even more! It seems that maybe a Daisy scrapbook or collage frame is in order. It's good for the healing process!
ReplyDeleteSo, so sorry, Tracy. Hope your happy memories soon outweigh your sadness.
ReplyDeletePraying for you and your family as you grieve the sudden death of Daisy. God knows how important our pets are to us. Hugs from around the other side of the world (Australia) Tanja.
ReplyDeleteOh, Tracy, I am so sorry for this loss you are having to suffer.
ReplyDeleteWhen we lost our Maggie we were both devastated.
Our thoughts and prayers are many for you right now.
