Wheels Part 2

Yesterday, I talked about the basics of wheels and how to create a random pattern. Here are some excellent choices of random pattern wheels: Cheers, Fast Flowers, Jolly, Watercolor Joy, Snowflakes, See you Around, It's Beautiful, Watercolor Vine and Sweet Stars.
Today, let's talk about wheels that are not so random, that have a definite top/bottom or edge to them. These require a bit more care when repeating them to create a pattern so you don't see overlapped or gaped edges. If you have a steady hand you can still free hand your wheeling with most of the designs. Examples: Cupcakes, Neighborhood, Classic Stars, Baroque Border,Bright Bulbs, Forever Flowers and Sandy Shells.
If your hand is not too steady or you need your image to be perfectly straight, then I suggest you purchase the Wheel Guide. My son helped me take this photo for you. The Wheel Guide is kind of like a ruler but better. It has a raised bottom so you can line your wheel right up against its edge. It also has lines on it to help you line up your paper edge so your image is straight (see the lines under my left hand). The WG comes with 2 12" pieces so you can get a long edge if you need to.

Here is my finished card

I wheeled the Cupcakes wheel across the front of my pink pirouette panel using regal rose ink. I added 3 embossed lines on top and bottom using the Scor-Pal. The main images is from Crazy for Cupcakes and matches the wheel perfectly! I colored in the image with inks and a blender pen.
I have more things to share about wheels but I thought I would open it up in case you have any questions. Now is the time to chime in!

The text in your article seem to be running off the screen in
Safari. I'm not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with internet browser compatibility but I thought I'd post
to let you know. The design look great though! Hope you get the issue
solved soon. Cheers

I too am an aspiring blog blogger but I'm still new to everything. Do you have any tips and hints for novice blog writers? I'd certainly appreciate it.
