A Penny For Your Thoughts

A Penny Black that is. This was my attempt to be nostalgic and do a bit of watercoloring again.

The paper is from MME and provides a nice muted backdrop for the colored image. Bows are not really my thing but I am sure you already know that, lol. And yes, I even have a Bow Easy.

Hubby is out of town for two weeks, working on his Doctorate. That means I didn't sleep well and have been up since 5am. Lack of sleep=grumpy girl=not much else to say this morning. I will be back tomorrow with sweet card!

Buckets of Thanks

My boys were way over due sending out a thank you card to someone at church. There are some things on our to-do list that seem to linger for no good reason, well maybe laziness! I am sure none of you ever have that problem. This was the week that I made it a priority and in turn it became a priority for the boys ;). It also gave me the push I needed to ink up this Penny Back stamp I bought ages ago.

Isn't he C-U-T-E? The large size of the image makes it a fun one to color. I started with Copics but added a lot of shading with pencils. I made him look a little dirty, as I am sure a boy in real life would be. I used Anna Wight's trick of using a tracing wheel around the edges. I love to sew on cards but this is quick and easy.

Two more days until a 3 day weekend! I am so ready. Several women from church are going to Rochester for the Women of Faith conference. I haven't been in several years and this year's line up is fantastic! Should be a great time. Josh will be out duck hunting with my brother and Greg and Kaleb will cook up some fun of their own.

Thanks for visiting.
