I know... another Cuttlebug embossed card. What can I say, new toys need to be played with!! I borrowed this wonderful star stamp by PSX from my friend Karen. I love the detail on it. For this card I embossed it in silver on white cardstock and used bashful blue and night of navy markers to color it in. I also used a silver leafing pen around the outside edges of the white cardstock. It is mounted to a bashful blue panel with silver brads. The night of navy panel was run through my Cuttlebug swirl embossing folder and then wiped with white craft ink to highlight the swirls. The ribbon is wide silver organdy now retired from SU.
My friend Karen made ornaments out of the star stamp last year and brought them to my ornament exchange. They were stunning and the main reason I asked to borrow her stamp. I just had to try some myself. The blue and pink one is embossed in silver pearl EP by Ranger and colored in with regal rose, bashful blue and night of navy markers. The top right one is done with copper EP and burgundy and mellow moss markers. The bottom one is gold embossed on vanilla cardstock and colored in with not quite navy, cameo coral and artichoke ink. I cut a larger star for each one from a coordinating piece of cardstock and sandwiched a piece of cord in between as a hanger. I added a couple of beads to the bottom for weight. I love how they turned out, kinda old world.
Thanks for visiting!
