I got some new Cuttlebug embossing folders in the mail this week. This simple card makes me giggle. In real life frogs are most definitely on the not so cute list but on paper it is a different story! The card base is very vanilla. The old olive piece was embossed with the CB bubbles folder and then I brayered old olive over to high light the bubbles, the brayer works like a charm and is much quicker than using a sponge. The larger circle is certainly celery with a notch cut out to resemble a a lily pad (Thanks for Jen70 for that idea) and I sponged the edges a bit so it wasn't so flat looking. The frog is stamped in basic brown and colored with old olive and an aqua painter. I punched him out with the 1 1/4" circle punch and layered it onto a 1 3/8" circle punched from bravo burgundy. The circles are on a dimensional and to finish it off I added 2 small drops of Crystal Effects on the eyes. The grosgrain ribbon is SU burgundy.
Hope you have a hoppy day!!
