Special Delivery

A friend at church had a baby two weeks ago and it has been on my mind to send a card. I really just ought to have cards like these on hand, it would be so much easier!
When I first saw this Cuttlebug embossing folder I said "blech"!! But then a card by Jan Tink changed my mind..she can be such an enabler!! I do like that it lends itself to a simple design. Hey, that's 2 days in a row with a clean design!!
Anywho...on with the card. I ran a piece of pretty in pink card stock through the embossing folder and layered it onto a white card base. I used a small sponge tip applicator to add white craft ink to all the raised edges. I punched out a 1 3/8" square of white and stamped the stork from Along the Same Lines, one of last years host sets. I used ink and an aquapainter to add color. The button brad on the bow is from Making Memories which I found at Michaels. The sentiment on the bottom is from the Fancy Flexible Phrases set. The pink and white gingham ribbon is from my stash and I do not remember where I got it. This was a fun card to make. The clean lines are growing on me!!
