Sweeeeet Stuff!!!!

On another one of my visits to my local Tuesday Morning store I found this fun sugar dispenser filled with red hard candy sticks. I just knew I wanted to do something fun with it. I soaked the glass and removed the label that was on there. I made striped paper using the now retired SU small plaid maker with pretty in pink and real red ink. The sugar container reminds me of an old fashioned soda fountain or diner so I thought the stripes fit the bill perfectly. I punched out a mega oval scallop of real red card stock and repeatedly stamped the sentiment "sweet stuff" from the Very Punny set. The lollipop tag is 2 layers of shimmer white card stock glued together and then die cut with a Cuttlebug die. At first I tried a single layer of card stock and it wasn't sturdy enough and the chipboard I have was too thick to bend with the curve of the glass. The tag is up on dimensionals and I used light pink grosgrain ribbon with small, white button brads to attach it all to the glass container. The lollipop is stamped in black ink, colored in with a pretty in pink marker and then the swirls are highlighted with a red glitter pen. In person it is fun and sparkly. It seems these kind of sugar dispensers should be easy enough to locate at a restaurant supply place, and probably pretty cheap to boot. The one place I did look only had faceted glass so I am going to keep looking for ones that are plain. The possibilities are endless!
Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by!
