Buckets!

Target dollar spot, gotta love it! I have over time bought many dollar items for altering. I am not always good about actually altering them, however. They go into the pile of good intentions, someday projects, gathering dust. I bought this pink bucket perhaps last Easter, as in 2006?! I found the silver bucket the other day and limited myself to just one for the time being. They are cute just as they are and will make a fun container to package some sweets into but I figured I would find something to spruce them up with. One of the reasons I bought my Crop-o-Dile was because of the promise of going through metal but I had never actually tried it. I have these Making Memories snaps I found on clearance at Michaels that I thought I would try. The Crop-o-Dile indeed cut through the sides of the bucket like butter!! I love that! I then set blue and green snaps into the holes and just like that it was done!! I added some ribbon to the handle and now it is ready to be filled. The pink bucket was on my shelf staring at me, saying "I want to be prettied up too". The flower cut outs in the buckets already had holes in the centers and I checked to see if the hole was big enough to fit the snaps and it was!! Some of them needed a little coaxing but I was so pleased with myself and the idea!! (I know...it doesn't take much) Some of you may have these from your own Target runs so maybe this idea will encourage you to dust off your stash!
Blessings on your day!
