What's Up???

Paper Crafts magazine is doing an on-line contest, Idol style, see the link here. I thought I would submit a few cards. The theme for the open call is hello cards. This is one of them I did last night. I love these cute animals from Wild About You. I inked up the giraffe in a chalk ink from one of last years retired sets. I think it is called yellow ochre? I added the skinny Amuse Oval in always artichoke. The "What's Up?" sentiment running up his neck uses Karen Foster 1/4" snap stamps. Not sure if that is an original idea but I thought it quite cute. I don't seem to be able to create WAY cards and not use googlie eyes, they just add so much. I used the new Spots and Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder on the artichoke layer. The accent card stock is so saffron. I picked up some American Crafts ribbon last week that was a perfect match, polka dots and all. I love it when a plan comes together!!

I also re-did the sewn card from yesterday, changing the stitches to brown thread and using brown buttons. My stitches were more straight this time as well. I submitted this one to the contest as well. You never know, right??!
