Big News!

Big news is probably a bad title considering all the things going on in our lives these days, LOL!! But our family does have big news, my brother and his wife are expecting their second baby. They told us on Mothers day and I have been meaning to send a card ever since. This pregnant lady inside the "BIG" was originally from Amy Rysavy and has been done many times since. I bought this stamp to make a similar card for my other sister-in-law last year and never got to it (sorry, Mo!). I thought I would use this card to do a little comparison on products. I purchased the Martha Stewart Onyx Glitter from Michaels and thought this would be a great card to add some bling. I purchased both the Palette Stamp & Stick gluepad and the Essential Glue Pad a while back but hadn't used them yet. I first tried the Palette which needs to be heat activated. I followed the directions and in the end the glitter wasn't sticking. I am leaving room for error on my part and will try it again. Then I inked the Glue Pad and tried that. It worked better and is what I ended up using on my card. I am not sure it was as good as using Heat and Stick powder but the bonus is that it doesn't require heating. I will experiment more and add to my review at another time.
For the card I used gable green, pixie pink and black. It is pretty straight forward but now that I look at I am going to go over her shoe with a black glaze pen to give her patent leather pumps!
We are expecting the paper work to be overnighted to us today to sign on the house. It seems we waited so long for God to move and now we are hanging on tight as things move so fast!! It is however a wonderful thing to see God confirm this new direction in so many big and small ways!
Blessings on your day!
