Yesterday was our last Sunday at church. It was quite the day! It was senior Sunday so Greg was able to recognize all the graduating seniors in front of the congregation. I had hoped to be tear free but it was never gonna happen. Seeing all those kids up there put me right over the edge. Then they had a recognition time for Greg and another pastor who is leaving. They asked the families to join them up front. Our church has a wonderful stained glass window in the front of the sanctuary and it has been the custom to present departing pastors with a framed photo of the window. When the presentation was done there was a standing ovation. How can a girl hold back the tears under such circumstances?! Greg also had the duty of preaching. He enjoys the occasional opportunity to preach but only gets a chance about twice a year. I must say I was so proud of my husband, he was so strong and gave one of his best sermons yet! When service was done we stood and greeted people and since it was our last Sunday the line was long with people wishing us farewell. We made it to the end of the line in time to do it again for the second service. By the end my tear ducts were dried up. We spent the remainder of the day going to 3 graduation parties. Today it is all a blurr as we try to catch our breath.
Stamping is not on the top of my list lately but I did manage a simple card using the new river rock card stock. It is a nice color but takes a little getting used to. I stamped Print Pattern in river rock ink and then over stamped French Script with creamy caramel. I used the soon departing hostess set, Flowers for a Friend for the main panel. It also uses the new groovy guava and purely pomegranate. The sentiment is from one of the new sets coming out.
I hear the new catty has made it into the hands of some demos but so far it hasn't reached me. Maybe tomorrow will be the day!!

Very nice. I love all of the dimension to it. TFS!
What a bittersweet day! I know it was hard for you both & the kids! God bless you in your new church! Pretty card, too!
It doesn't look like I will get to see you before we head back to NC next week. I do wish you and Greg a wonderful ministry in your new church. God Bless you.

Great colors and I really like the stamps you used. Love the ribbon tucked behind the main image. TFS!
