Last night my brain was fried but I wanted to do some stamping. Coloring always seems to be therapeutic for me so I looked for something to watercolor. This butterfly from the Artful Stamper is such a beauty, I do not tire from using it. I embossed the image with black EP onto watercolor paper. I grabbed a variety of ink pads and just watercolored until I was happy with it. It is such a large stamp that it dictates making it into a large square card. I matted it so it only had a thin border of black. It seemed to need something else before I mounted it onto the artichoke card. I went with a corner stamp from the Postcards from Paris stamp set I have from Technique Tuesday. I added black brads and mounted it with dimensionals. As I step back and look at the card, the black embossing of the image really adds a classy touch, much nicer than if I had just used black ink.
One of the women I've met from the new church is in the hospital with chest pains. The doctors are unsure of what is wrong. She had just fallen and broken her elbow a few days before. I am sending this card out to her to let her know we are praying for her.
We placed an offer on a house yesterday and are waiting to hear back. I will keep you posted.
Blessings on your day!
