Always

You have probably heard of a snow day before, but how about a wind day?? My boys had the day off because we had severe winds, gusting up to 80 mph! Some places lost power due to downed power lines. It threw my whole day off! But I am thankful we never lost power.

This is a card from a class this week. I just love the new SU stamp set, Always. We embossed the heart with chocolate chip craft ink and clear EP and went over the various parts with celery, regal rose and purely pomegranate. It looks like a fancy confection! We anchored 3 corners with pink brads and the bottom corner with the sentiment. The ribbon is the pomegranate satin ribbon from last winters mini catalog and the designer paper is the new Berry Bliss.
I read Jan Tinks blog and had to laugh because her night sounded just like mine. They apparently had strong winds where they are too. The exhaust fan in our bathroom flapped all night long due to the wind. It was impossible to sleep! If it wasn't so annoying it might have been funny. I thought I might be able to catch a nap while the kids were in school but we know that never happened. Now my head is throbbing, probably from lack of sleep, so I am going to crawl into my bed and hope the morning is a brighter one!
Don't forget to leave a comment on the post for the Posies for You set, I will be drawing a winner tomorrow night!

Oh this is sooooooo pretty! I love houw you added the extra color. I wasn't on the computer for a couple days so I was just now looking at your polished stone card too - Oh yea, very nice. I like the way it looks with just 2 shades of the same color. I usualy add too many colors and get a bad result. Thanks for inspiring me to try again and change my ways. *wink*
