Thursday Winner

The winner of goodie bag #4 is Yvonne C!! (post #9)

Email me your info please, stuff is on its way!

It sounds 50/50 on the cake vs. pie. I like my dutch apple pie cause my favorite part is the crumb topping and I never put less than a double recipe of crumbs on my pies! A good cake is hard to pass up though and my friend, Jackie, makes some of the best tasting and looking cakes. So, as a woman has the right to do, my mind changes often on the matter, lol! Basically, it's whatever is before me at the time, hahaha.

My card today is a paper piecing feature. I love this large mug of Anna Wight's by Whipper Snapper and usually I enjoy coloring it in. But I was in that simple mode and thought I would see what it looked like stamped onto designer paper. I prefer coloring it, but like this well enough to try out some other papers in the future. The paper is from a retired SU hostess scrap kit. The bright color combo of certainly celery and cool Caribbean (also retired) makes me happy, the touches of black just make those colors all the more vivid. The sentiment is from another retired SU host set, So Many Sayings. Retired was the theme of the day I guess because the coffee beans on the celery layer are from the set, Like It A Latte. I like that set a latte, I am still sputtering over its retirement!

So today's (Friday) question goes along with my card...what is your favorite cuppa?? I have never liked coffee or tea so my answer is hot chocolate...with a good dollop of whipped cream.

Leave your answer in a comment to this post and I will draw a name at 11pm EST for goodie bag #5.

I hope you are enjoying this week as much as I am! Thanks for taking the time to visit and leave a comment! Have a great day!

This card is really cute! And, yes, this week has been a blast! Glad to know it's been fun for you too.

Though I drink assorted flavored coffees everyday (a vice I swore I would NEVER have), I think my favorite cuppa is hot caramel apple cider with cinnamon and whipped cream. Mmmm!

My favourite is Earl Grey tea. I'll drink it anytime, from breakfast to bedtime. I love your card. I'll have to give paper piecing a try for sure!

This sure has been a fun week Tracy! I have loved checking your blog out for your fab questions & looking at your fab cards!

I don't drink coffee, I do drink a cup of regular tea in the winter months (which is long here!) but, for a special treat I do like Starbucks - Chai Tea Latte's & low fat Mocha Frappacino's & their holiday drinks are good too which I'm sure are gone now!

I like coffee, tea, and hot cocoa so to choose a favorite...hmmmm.....
Rasperberry Mocha is good.

BUT, my favorite is any cuppa of the above with a good friend.

Paper Piecing is one of those things I forget about and love when I see it done. BTW, my beverage of choice is coffee, but of course those expensive ones...my best breakfast is Starbucks Frappuccinos...good thing I can use the bottles in my stamping projects, it helps make it a great deal! LOL.

Boy I have to say I love a nice hot cuppa hot chocolate with REAL whip cream, but since I've been working at Starbucks I'm becoming quite the fan of just about anything that comes out of my store. LOL

Great card and love the layout. I drink coffee with some type of creamer flavor. It varies day to day. Thanks for a chance. I've had a blast playing along.

Cute coffee card!! I like how you put colors together...

I hate coffee but I love HOt tea!

I drink tea like it is going out of style! Here in Calgary, it is so dry and that way I can get my water ration without having to drink water alone! Not to mention that I am on a diet so a tea with splenda offers no guilt!

Thanks Tracy...love the color combo you chose here!

Wow great cards! It has been awhile since I last visited your blog....*sad*, so I have missed all the fun the past few days.

Gotta agree with you. . .hot chocolate for me. I'm not a coffee person. Unless it has a bunch of chocolate in it too, then maybe I'll try the coffee.

I need to go try some paper piecing. I see so many people who do it, but now I'll have to go try it out!

I love me an amaretto cappuccino, when I indulge myself.....for just everyday, though...Celestial Seasonings has a Christmas tea called Gingerbread Spice that is sooooooooooooooo yummy.

Hi,
I'm not a coffee or tea person either. Hot cocoa is good, but I only have it maybe once a year. I'm actually a Diet Coke girl, but drinking that out of a mug just doens't seem right!

STRONG, dark, robust, coffee. Nothing flavored, but it has to be rich and strong. (have I mentioned that I like my coffee strong?)

nettystamps said...

I love a good cup of coffee...not the day old, strong as an ox, can walk away on its own tasting stuff; but the really good stuff. And I am not particularly fond of the odd flavored stuff... just plain old, fresh cup 'o joe! :) But who doesn't like hot chocolate too...I surely wouldn't turn down a cup of that either! HAHA

I don't like tea or coffee, so I love to drink peppermint tea, especially first thing in the morning. I feel virtuous with it as there's no milk of caffeine involved!
Thanks for aother offer,

I was hooked on hazelnut Latte's for the past few years, but must have had one too many. The only drinks I feel like anymore is water or iced tea, and an occassional diet coke. If I were to select a cuppa right now, I'd order a decaf coffee with cream and splenda.

My favorite warm drink is Spearmint tea. On snowy nights I love to curl up in a comfy chair wearing my jammies, reading a good book and sipping a cup of warm tea.

I've really enjoyed reading your blog each day. I've added you to my favorites!

Cute card!! My fave is French Vanilla coffee with a touch of French Vanilla creamer (love vanilla *almost* as much as chocolate!!). Of course, I would never turn down a cup of hot chocolate!!

My "special" favorite drink is hot chocolate spiked with a little Butter Shots (butterscoth schnapps). It is soooo good as a special treat on a cold winter night. Hmmm, maybe I'll go make myself one right now.

Kathy W said...

I might be too late to comment, but I'm right with you: hot chocolate with whipped cream. Especially if it is snowing outside! I really like the paper piecing on your card, and Cool Caribbean is still a favorite color of mine. Thanks for sharing.

Love hot chocolate -- as a matter of fact I'm having some right now! -- followed fairly closely by tea. Never did like the taste of coffee though.

Anonymous said...

I love your colors here!
I don't drink a lot of hot things....occasionally tea. I also like spiced cider or Autumn Tea. My fave would be iced tea though.
Re: cake or pie.....WHAT ABOUT THE COOKIES??? hehe....sheesh....gotta love cookies! ;)
