Whipper Snapper NEWS!!

Oh, I am so glad Anna let the cat out of the bag, that means I don't have to wait any longer. I have shared with you how much I enjoy Whipper Snapper stamps and especially those illustrated by Anna Wight. She has talent oozing from her pores! Whipper Snapper has just announced a brand new "set" of stamps designed by Anna. You read right, a set. I love her fresh, whimsical designs and know many of you do too. Her images are perfect for watercoloring and watercoloring makes me happy! This set is cling mounted in red rubber, packaged in a nice CD case. Totally awesome!! I am so thrilled for Anna, I can only imagine how exciting it must be to see your art made into stamps for others to enjoy. Honestly, that is excitement enough for me, I love to see people succeed in their talents and dreams. But I have the added joy of being a small part of the release of this new set, as a featured designer. Stop over at Anna's blog, Sassy & Sweet Notes, to read the details on the new stamp set as well as the Featured Designers working on this release. I can't wait to see the samples the others created. I will be sharing samples with you over the course of the week but for tonight here are a couple items to introduce you to "Posies For You".
This first card is a pocket card. My plan is to include a packet of flower seeds and send it to a garden lover I know. Isn't that flower just so sweet?? I stamped it onto shimmer white and used watercolor crayons as well as ink to color it. The oval frame is done with the Nestabilities and the scallop was done with scissors. I love the whimsical butterfly included in the set, I gave him a few spots with a black glaze pen. The paper is from SU's Cutie Pie set. I continued with a couple of butterflies on the insert just for fun.
The other item I am sharing comes from my husbands love of sunflower seeds, he eats them on road trips by the fist full. How better to dress up this plain jar than with one of Anna's sunflowers? I stamped the sunflower several times at different heights and colored it in with watercolor crayons and ink. I only wanted to use part of the sentiment included in the set so I punched it out with SU's word window punch, reinserted it and punched it again leaving only the "for you" portion. Since this is going to hubby, I opted for twill tape and hemp twine over ribbon.
This set is full of possibilities! If you are one of the first 100 to order it from Whipper Snapper you will get a signed copy, isn't that great??

Thanks Anna, Lisa and John for allowing me to be a part of this special event!!
