A Card and Ribbon Storage Idea

Sunday greetings, friends! My week was very busy with making plans for our SCS stamping event in April. We are almost filled up which is very exciting. Holly and I may have to debut and retire all in the same event 'cause I don't know how we can top some of the things we have planned!!

I have a couple of stamping events this week, one of them a Stamp-a-Stack back in Rochester. It is always good to be together with these stampers, I miss them. Here is one of the cards we will be making on Tuesday. Our emphasis is on thank you, thinking of you and all purpose cards. Yhis one has no sentiment at the moment. I am setting up a sentiment station for them to add the sentiment they want. I used the Embrace Life set along with a new Cuttlebug folder. The strip of blush blossom has the leaves stamp on it but it is very faint. Note to self... refresh that blush blossom ink pad before Tuesday. The blooms are done with a blush blossom and coral cameo marker and a few dots of white gel pen added.

Last week I told you I had another ribbon storage idea to share with you. This is an idea totally unlike any other I have seen. It's called a Ribbon Ring and Melissa was kind enough to let me sample her product. She sent me a 2.5" metal ring and 10 plastic ribbon holders. You simply weave your ribbon onto the plastic ribbon tags and hang them on the ring. She recommends one yard lengths but on one of mine I put a 3 yard length doubled and it worked great. Here are several things that really appeal to me about this system.
1) You can see all the ribbon and it makes for a pretty and practical display
2) You can just pull down the amount you need
3) It is reasonable, a starter set includes one ring, 30 tags and 15 inventory dots for $10.00.
4) It will fit a variety of widths

I apologize for my pictures, I was trying to hang them in a place where the photo wouldn't be cluttered with the messiness I call my desk! Melissa has several great pictures on her website www.ribbonring.com so go have a look. I love how she shows pictures of color coordinated rings, one for pinks, blues, yellows, ect. If you can readily see your supplies you will be more likely to use them. This ring makes it easy to see and use what you have.
Blessings on your day!
