pieces for this project. I am lovin' this paper by October Afternoon. This particular one is from the County Fair line and is called Blue Ribbon Quilt. For my inner pages I chose chocolate chip, soft sky and old olive, drawn from the paper. When the whole year is finished I will have a nice coordinated project to gift someone.
This is my first page. I love how this turned out!! I chose Psalm 150:6, "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord." The polka dot paper is the reverse from what is on the cover. I used a new Penny Black stamp as my main image. Before I stamped anything I did a "wipe wash" with a water brush and soft sky ink. The flower was stamped in Palette Burnt Umber ink and then I used a Versamarker on parts of the flower so I could emboss it with vanilla EP. The embossing came out slightly bumpy...a delightful finish! I added a bit of color with Copics, just to color the stem and add some shadows for depth. The verse was computer generated and cut with a Nestability. I had trouble with the photo on this one but you get the idea!
Now I only have 4 months of catching up to do for this challenge!
