I survived to...

blog another day!! The tea on Saturday was lovely. The morning was very busy, making tea sandwiches, chocolate covered strawberries, cutting up breads and fruit, making punch, ect. I talk plenty, I have lots of opinions and wonderful things to say. I can talk to a roomful of stampers while I demonstrate a project. But stand in front of people and speak on something I have prepared, that is just a different story. But there were lots of people praying for me and I will say, it went really well. I didn't put my foot in my mouth or say anything completely off, lol! One woman told me she really enjoyed what I shared saying it was "funny, interesting and sometimes deep." I am just glad it is all behind me now.
Yesterday was my oldest son's 12th birthday. Where does the time go?? My inlaws came and took us all out for lunch. The restaurant had a lovely painting on the wall and I so wanted to make a card inspired by it. It just didn't flow though and I ended up with this instead. I can't tell you the last time I tore cardstock! Or the last time I distressed an edge. It is good to revisit some older ideas now and again. I inked the stamp in Antique Linen distress ink and used SU markers in various places. Behind it is a piece of vanilla paper, embossed with the script Cuttlebug folder and rubbed with the antique linen ink. Burgundy and creamy caramel finish this off.
Blessings on your day!
