Dirty Girl Challenge Time

Today is the 20th, so time for another Dirty Dozen challenge. This month Jodi (Kharmagirl) challenged us to make a Valentines card.
Our required element was texture, things like embossing, felt ribbon, flock, CE, ect.
Our restricted element was the color red.
Here is my card. It is actually the second card I made, I didn't really like the first one. This card is all about the sentiment. Check out the inside of the card first...

"Nobody knows the truffles I've seen". The sentiment alone made me order this stamp set from My Cute Stamps. This particular set is called Sweet Chocolate and you can see it here. Do you know the song that goes "nobody knows the trouble I've seen"? Anyone know the name and artist? Or maybe it's a movie line. Anyway, we long ago changed it to say "nobody knows the trouble I've been". Cracks me up every time, I often sing it to my boys when they are giving me grief, lol. This new twist about the truffles just tickled my funny bone. And it is sooooo true, I just tossed out the empty box of See's chocolates yesterday, LMBO!!
You probably want me to move on now...

Here is the front. I inked the truffles in chocolate chip craft ink and embossed them with clear EP, then added some shades of pink Copic markers. That delicious paper is from the Bittersweet collection by Basic Grey. I added more texture with some stitching and brads. This valentine will go to one of my old friends, I know she will love it and laugh out loud! She has eaten her share of truffles too!
Through out today, the others DD gals will be posting their creations. Check out the gallery here.

I think "Nobody Knows the Trouble I've Seen" is a Negro spiritual.
