Something New to Love

I am back with another stamp set work-out. Today I will show you some samples using the set called "Something New to Love". Don't search your catalogs for it, it is on the dormant list. But it is still available for purchase, ask your demo for item # 111692, it sells for $24.95 US. Here is what the set looks like

I love the texture in the stamps! Here is sample A

Simple and straightforward. I used the Candy Lane DP and used colors taken from there. What you probably can't see it that the wide oval has embossed polka dots on it, done with the new SU Big Shot Texturz plates. The close to cocoa shape behind the oval was cut out using the new Lots of Tags Sizzlit dies. Just by using a few interesting elements you can have a nice card!
Sample two is a simple tag to embellish a small basket made with the Baskets and Bloom die.

The basket is made with regal rose card stock. Everything got the Polka Dot treatment! The tag is from the same die, again stamped with Polka Dots and attached with a fancy brad from the Filigree set. The heart was simply stamped, cut out and adhered with a dimensional. The sentiment is from the set Short and Sweet. How cute would these be to give to co-workers?
The last sample is another out of the box idea. This set can definitely go beyond lovey dovey!

The polka dotted heart reminded me of a lady bug, go figure! I embossed the heart onto real red card stock using Versamark and clear EP. I did cheat a bit and used a black glaze pen to fill in the dots and make the tail but if you want to keep it 100% SU, use a black marker and add Crystal Effects to it if you'd like to keep it shiny. The head and body were punched out of black card stock using the 1/2" circle, attached to the cut out heart and adhered with a dimensional. The kraft panel was embossed with another one of the Textures plates. The impression came out really well I thought. The sentiment is from the Bella Blossoms set and is punched out with the Word Window punch. Cute, isn't it??
This set has a lot of possibility!
Thanks for stopping, see you tomorrow!

Love these Tracy! I loved making set samplers when I was actively demonstrating...I think that's why I love doing weekend sketch sets. It's fun to get creative with the same set, and these are fabulous!
