Fly Away

Well, I wish I could! Monday's have always been one of my favorite days because I had the day off and the house all to myself. Not anymore! Monday's are now officially a work day for me. Boo hoo.

I made this card on Saturday night and boy did it give me fits!! I have never re-done a card so many times and all because I kept smudging ink from somewhere onto the white panel! Ugh!! It happened at least 3 times, and always toward completion. Maybe I should have just quit but I had this idea that I wanted to see through. The stamp set is one of SU's level 1 hostess sets called God's Beauty. I repeatedly stamped the small flower image over the pumpkin pie panel and around the edges of the Top Note die cut. The butterfly was embossed using black detail EP and colored in with apricot and pumpkin makers. I stamped him twice, cutting out the second one to layer with dimensionals. The white pieces are shimmer white so in person, it is all the more lovely!
After making this I read that one of SU's contests this month is shades of orange so it will be going in the mail this morning. I haven't sent in anything to SU in almost 2 years!
Off to work (she says with a grump!!).
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
