It's a Kiwi Kinda Day

Good Monday morning to you! It is cold and rainy and I think I will avoid all my responsibilities and stamp today! Hubby is waiting at the airport to catch a flight to Portland for a conference. The boys are off to school. I even did some major cleaning in my basement last night. It is not done yet, but I think I did enough to deserve a stamping break.

When SU announced the In Colors for this year, kiwi kiss was not at the top of my favorites but boy has it crept up there! It will never top Baja Breeze but I think it is officially in second place! Here are some of my cards from the weekend...

Simple, and maybe a bit masculine. The stamp is from the set Central Park and I stamped it several times without reinking to get a fading appearance. Easy peasy! I did run the kiwi panel through the Cuttlebug houndstooth folder.
Next up is one of my new favorite stamp sets, Friends 24-7.

Again, a pretty simple card but I love it! I used the matching jumbo wheel along the bottom of the card. The bird is stamped in basic grey and I added some matching basic grey ribbon. I had to try out another one of the new EK Success border punches, the dainty scallop is sweet, isn't it? I bought some brads this week and inside the pack were some grey ones that matched really well. The camera doesn't pick it up but I stamped on shimmer white card stock, it definitely adds a touch of elegance to the finished card.
Then, on my cleaning frenzy, I decided I better make these scraps into a card asap or they would get tossed. I was in a ruthless mood yesterday and lots of things got tossed. It feels good!

If this looks familiar, you may remember this post. I bought some smaller foam letters this week and they were a great size to go onto a card. No stamping on this one.
I wish you blessings this day! Thanks for stopping by!

Love all three of your cards! I am a huge Kiwi Kiss fan! Love the blosssom on the third card! The stamped off leaf is a really neat idea! They are all great!

I love this, Tracy -- the scallops, colors, papers ... everything!
