Making this one a quickie today. I have an ultrasound this morning to look into my gall bladder. After 3 episodes in 6 weeks they think my gall bladder may be the culprit. I just thought I kept getting the 24 hour stomach bug, lol. But I am definitely not laughing about the pain, that is no joke! I don't have time to be sick so this should be interesting. Anyone out there have their gall bladder removed? I don't want horror stories, just an idea of the process.
CHF is releasing a new Thomas Kinkade stamp today and it is so beautiful. It's called Dogwood Chapel. Here is one of my samples. I went with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol for a softer look.
What a heavenly spot, don't you agree? So peaceful and beautiful. Ahhhh.
Off I go! Have a great day.

My friend had hers out about 7 years ago. She was only out of work a couple days. The hardest part for her was readjusting how she eats.
I had my gallbladder out 6 months after having my second child...thought I had poor posture with breast feeding, only to find out I had gall stones. Had laproscopic surgery and is was a day surgery. I would say to give yourself a good week of not having to do too much, Lord only knows with a 6 month old I should have had 2 weeks of taking is easy!
It was a fairly easy surgery and I have had good results, just have to watch the fatty foods now, which I am suppose to be doing any way.
Hope this helps...cheers!
Tracy, Lord knows you have your hands full right now. Gallbladder surgery for me was easy. Done Laporosciply(?)with three small incisions. Same day surgery and was feeling soooo much better within a few days. As the other ladies said I have to watch what I eat but other than that it really was not a bad thing. See you May 1 at Spring Fest!!
I put this off for almost 15 years thinking I just kept getting indigestion! Finally the pain was so bad I had to go to the doctor and then had the surgery! Very easy surgery! I had to stay overnight but I had a lot of infection. Usually it is a quickie surgery and you will come home the same day. I had 3 drain tubes(no big deal, 5 small incisions(had very large gall stones) and really was not bad. Kind of sore for a few days, just take it easy! It has not affected what I eat in any way! I eat everything. I was out of work for almost 2 weeks but my surgeon just did that as a precaution! I could have gone back earlier. You will be so happy when you have this done! No more pain and nausea everytime you eat!! I will keep you in my prayers and you will do great!
Beautiful card, Tracy! I still have my gallbladder, but have known of 2 people just recently who have had theirs removed. It was laparoscopic surgery in both cases, in and out the same day. The man is 82 and they didn't even keep him overnight for observation. There is a diet to follow afterwards, but not too strict. Good Luck and Blessings!

This is beautiful, Tracy! Fantastic coloring!
I hope your test went well and you got some answers! Feel better!
Love the card. As for the gallbladder I had mine out a few years ago. Laporoscopic cholecystectomy is a simple procedure with 3 small incisions. They told me to take a week to 10 days off afterwards. Depending on your pain tolerance I only took one pain pill. The worst part for me was the gas they use to inflate your stomach..it gives some people a terrible pain in your shoulder of all places. I don't watch my diet now although I experience more gas..groan. Hope that helps a bit and good luck.
