Post Easter Blues...

or maybe it is just the withdrawal from all the chocolate and sugar I ate over the weekend. Either way Monday is here and so is another week of work. I had a chance to do some stamping over the weekend so I have several days of posts lined up.

Today I have a tutorial posted on the CHF blog. I didn't get a single suggestion last week for what to do a tutorial on so I worked on several ideas that have been brewing in my head. I love to go to my local stamp store, often just to look and be inspired (though I rarely leave empty handed ;)). Embellishments of all kinds have really exploded recently. The lovely choices are endless but I often suffer from sticker shock! If I do buy them I hoard them because "they're too nice or expensive" to use. Talk about silly! As I browse I also often think that I can make something similar at home with supplies I already have.

So...I covered making embellishments with chipboard, cork and wood. Here is one of my samples with a finished cork embellishment.

You can check out all the details here. Be sure to leave a comment on the tutorial, there is a stamp set up for grabs.

I'll be back tomorrow!

Great idea Tracy! I often think the same thoughts when out craft shopping, but by the time I get home...I have forgotten and don't end of making my own embellishments. So cute and so easy.

Fantastic tutorial over on CHF, Tracy!! Looooove the magnetic fridge pad - so cute with the Bees background, and such a fun idea, too! (Glad no one suggested anything for a tutorial... I love what you came up with on your own, LOL!!)
