Let's Hang Out!

Did I mention I am solo again this week? Hubby and the boys are on a Scout trip, canoeing in the Adirondacks. We have been getting poured on here at home, I hope they are not floating down stream in their tents! I am even solo at work. Pastor Bill and 13 others left at the crack of dawn yesterday for Haiti. They will spend the next 12 days working on rebuilding a school that was damaged in the earthquake. They had to take all their own food and tools so they are not an additional burden to the people they are going to help. That leaves just me to hold down the fort this week.

Last week I participated in a Stampavie Challenge. They give out a "secret" prize and guess what? I was the lucky winner! That was a great way to start my week, I can't wait to see what I won. Yesterday they posted the next challenge, to use "Dots" in your project. You can read about it here. You have 2 weeks to play along.

I have had this owl stamp for quite some time and it was still uninked. It was time to test her out! These owls are so adorable!

Photos can never fully tell the story of a card. Here are the deets for this card...
-DP is from Basic Grey's Max and Whiskers
-card stock: Cougar Natural White; SU Chocolate Chip, Sage Shadow, More Mustard
-I used Spellbinders Label 11 and oval nestabilities
-the scallop border was done with a PTI border die
-coloring mediums: Copics, Prismacolor pencils and Versamagic ink, Memento black
-Polka Dot embossing folder is from Cuttlebug, one of their new 5x7 size folders (love it!)
-Spica clear glitter pen adds sparkle to the stars around the image
-Black Glaze pen was used over the dots on the owl's bellies and eyes and on the dots around the image

That's all I have to say about that!
Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Tracy, this card is cute. I like the basic grey paper, and what a cute owl stamp. I have always favored owls. I guess it goes back to the "Tootsie Roll" pop. What fun. Hope you have a good week. Blessings, to you.
