Gettin' Ready...

for next week. We will be spending the week at Family Camp. It is a marvelous get away even though it is only 30 minutes down the road. There are programs, crafts and such every day for kids and adults. It is also a great time to reconnect with people we know through ministry over the years. Once again I will be offering 2 sessions of card making for adults. I limit each class to 25 but you never know how many people you will actually get. The card designs need to be fairly straight forward since there is a mix of skill levels. My goal in these classes is always to provide a fun time with fun projects that expose people to a variety of products and styles. I love seeing how excited people get about their cards when they are done.

Last night I had a power session in my studio, designing 8 of the 10 cards I need. Before work this morning I designed the last 2 cards so now all that is left to do is cut and prep the materials. My studio looks like a hurricane hit it, lol. No sense in cleaning it until I am done with all my prep.

Here is one of the cards we will be making.
We will be using a background stamp (CHF's Newspaper Ads Scrapblock), a border punch, doing some distressing and coloring directly onto the stamp. That is a good amount of ground to cover with just one card. The cream and black with red works so well together.

If I get a chance to photograph and edit more of the cards I will share them with you. There is so much to do in the next two days to get ready!

Don't forget to leave a comment on this post (and the others on the blog hop too) by tonight at midnight. Even though we are hi-lighting different stamp lines that CHF carries, the gift certificates up for grabs are good on anything in the CHF store!!

Blessings,
