Stampavie Challenge #31

Today is the start of another one of Stampavie's challenges, this time a color challenge using kraft, yellow and turquoise. At first I thought the color combo would be hard but when I opened up my new Cosmo Cricket Togetherness paper pack I was totally inspired! Total yumminess! Here's what I came up with...

Meet Hedgehog with Umbrella, a Tina Wenke design. I colored away with my markers until I was happy with the results. Then I tinkered, lol. There are black glaze pen accents on the eyes, Glossy Accents on the rain drops, shading on all the papers, stitching, ribbon/twine details. Then I stamped a second umbrella, colored it and popped it up. Actually the bottom of the umbrella is popped up and top is adhered flush, it really gives the right dimensional feel. The sentiment is from a Clear Dollar Stamps set I have, it was just the right touch. I couldn't leave it alone though, and added a few pearls. THEN, I called it done!

The design on the yellow pattern paper looks like swirling umbrellas doesn't it? I love those happy accidents!

The challenge is open for the next 2 weeks, I hope you will consider playing along with us! A random prize is given away to a participant. Follow this link to the challenge.
