Sweet Treats

Today is my first time posting on the Stampavie Blog. The project I did is the one thing I managed to get stamped since we've returned from vacation. I used the Penny Johnson image "I Love Honey" as my jumping off point to make this treat holder.

I listed off the instructions over on the SAV blog, here is the direct link. It's really quite simple, just a little time consuming to cut and ink all the strips. It will hold a good amount of treats too.

I used mainly Copics to color the image. The honey is covered in Glossy Accents by Ranger to give it a shine. The bottom edge of the brown panel was punched with the Martha Stewart Gooey punch. Even though the punch is for Halloween, it was perfect to simulate dripping honey! I added several dimensional bee stickers from K & Company.

Here is a side view of the box...

The treats on the inside were inspired by honey and bees too, I just mixed up Honey Comb cereal with chocolate and cinnamon Teddy Graham crackers and a handful of Reese's Pieces candies. My son couldn't keep his hands out of the bag! Me either ;)

As I look at the bag closer you could easily turn this idea into a pumpkin for the fall, just use orange card stock and turn the strips lengthwise.

Tonight we have folks from church coming over for lawn games and funnel cakes! Double yum!
Thanks for visiting.
