Sneak Peak and a Winner!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!! We spent all day yesterday at our old church celebrating their 150th year. Former pastors were invited to come as part of the celebration and we had a nice time catching up with old friends. They had incredible goodie tables set up following the morning service, allowing people time to meet & greet and the day ended with a yummy prime rib dinner. By the time we got home everyone fell into bed.

You probably want to know who the blog candy winner is so let's get that out of the way now.
Random.org picked #10, so our winner is Rea!! Congrats! When you get a minute please email me your address and I will get the goodies out to you this week. Thanks for all the comments and yummy recipes, I so enjoyed reading them ALL.

I did find a bit of time on Saturday to work on a couple of cards. Here is one using a soon-to-be released Sarah Kay image from Stampavie (available after the 22nd).

The image is called "Charlotte and Pepe Walking in the Rain". I don't always color with an end card in mind and often find myself stumped to find a coordinating paper once the image is colored. This time the paper came first, then the coloring. After I was done with the Copics, I did some additional shading with Prismacolor pencils as well as use the pencils for the grass. I didn't quite have the right green for the grass, go figure ~150 markers and nothing close to what I needed. Hmph! The puddles and all the raindrops have Glossy Accents added for a bit of dimension. I was quite pleased with how this one turned out.

Imagine my delight when the download purchase button for the calendar files actually worked! I had my doubts since I am a tech-tard but I am super pleased that I managed to figure it out. If you have used them in the past and think they are easy...don't tell me, lol! I had never zipped a file before so the whole thing was a learning process. If you have downloaded the files I hope you will come back and share your finished product with me. I will leave the files up for a few more weeks for those who still want them.

I have a training to attend today so I have got to run. Thanks for stopping by!
