Snowy Echo

Happy Monday! I hope you have recovered from all the turkey and pie on Thanksgiving! We had a lovely time away. Friday was a BIG day too. My SIL and I joined the crazy shoppers, getting up at 3 am and not returning until 1pm. We had fun and found several bargains. When we returned the guys went hunting and our oldest got his first deer! He is 14 years old and although he has hunted quite a bit for various things it was his very first shot at a deer and it was right on target. Needless to say, he was thrilled. I am not a fan of venison but will do my best to be the supportive mother. If you have a tried and true ways to use venison, please let me know.

I posted on the Stampavie blog today. I combined the Penny Johnson image "Snowy and Rudolf" with some festive Echo Park holiday papers. I love the non-traditional final product.

Did you catch all the glitter and the Rudolf's shiny nose? All the stars have trails of glitter and I added Glossy Accents to his nose for a bit of whimsy.

The break this week was so needed, but today it is back to work for me. Thanks so much for stopping by!

You are braver than me getting up at 3 AM to shop. I decided that I didn't need anything that wasn't going to be available later...guess I'm getting old!

Love your card.

Happy Holidays!

Love your card...it's so cute!

I'm not a fan of venison either but my husband is a hunter and he really likes it. You've probably already tried this but here's what I do: I take a roast and cook it in a crock pot until it's fork tender. Drain off the water and let the meat cool. Shred the meat and add BBQ sauce to make a venison version of BBQ beef/pulled pork. Serve on buns. In my opinion, the BBQ sauce covers up any of the "gamey" taste and I actually like venison if it's fixed like this.
