Here is a card to todays SCS sketch challenge. One of the swaps I got this weekend at the CNY SCS gathering was a card using bravo burgundy and barely banana cardstock. I just loved the look so used those colors as a springboard for my card. The base is banana with the Leaf Prints wheel inked in so saffron. The barely banana ink seemed too light. The bottom panel is vanilla cardstock with the Well Worn Words BG stamped in bravo burgundy. I pierced along the top and bottom edges of the bravo cardstock. The vertical panel is barely banana cardstock stamped with the outline flower from Petal Prints, again using so saffron ink. I used my bravo burgundy sponge dauber to add just a touch of color to the centers of the flowers and sponged so saffron on the edges. The flowers in the center were stamped on watercolor paper with Timber Brown Stazon and colored in with saffron and burgundy ink and an aquapainter. I did go over them with the same markers and blended it in to get the deeper tones. The flowers were trimmed and mounted with dimensionals. The sentiment is from Blossoms Abound and was inked in burgundy. I am pleased with the result and will try this color combo again. Thanks for visiting!!

Really like this card. Of course I think anything done with Petal Prints is a winner!

This card is absolutely beautiful. You took the simple card from the swap and (as Emeril would say) you "kicked it up a notch!" :-)
