40!!!!!!!!!!

I don't have anything new to show you stamping wise because I am busy with life at the moment. My husband turned 40 yesterday and I needed to prepare a steak dinner complete with Baklava for dessert. We are having a large gathering of friends on Saturday so I am working on stuff for that. shhhhh....don't tell him I put up this photo of him, it was taken in fun one day when my boys got these cheap, goofy glasses from Chucky Cheese!! They kinda freak me out!
No matter how goofy, this man is a gift to me!! For the last three years we have jumped hurdle after hurdle. First he was diagnosed with diabetes, last year it was thyroid cancer and this year it is a job loss. Our church has been experiencing financial difficulties resulting in several staff cuts. Greg is a youth pastor and so we are looking for a new church in which to serve. Even at his age he is convinced he is called to work with teens and most certainly has a gift for it. Who wouldn't want to hire him??!! So many uncertain times and they do get tiring. Through it all we have trusted God for each day and have learned some amazing things about ourselves. I am definitely more in love with my husband as a result. My boys are learning what it means to have faith by watching us in these times. God is good!
I promise to get back to posting about stamping soon, I just wanted to share the love of my life with you!!
Blessings on your day!

You will look back on these times some day in awe of the way God brought you through and how much more you trust Him because you went this.

Happy Birthday to your DH!

What a wonderful gift to your children - to see you keep your focus on God during the difficult times. That will impact their lives later on (I'm sure you know!) God bless you & give you peace as you seek the place where He wants your husband to serve.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! it is the life lessons that make us strong and learn that the little things are the most special and important. you have each other and that is what you started with, the rest were gifts along the way. faith is amazing, you are survivors, and this test will be passed!
heres to moving forward and many more birthdays!

What do you think about Texas? It's quite a coincidence that our youth minister announced last night that he has turned in his resignation and is moving to Dallas to attend seminary... It was very sad, all the kids were disappointed. It takes a special person to minister to teens. I don't have teens YET but have 3 DDs that will be soon enough. I will be praying that God gives you the guidance that you need during this time. HBday to your husband.
