Last night I had a chance to play along with the color challenge on SCS. The combo was morning marigold, really rust and brocade blue. I love this big stamp by Printworks and it seemed to be a perfect fit for the challenge. I stamped the image onto watercolor paper using Timber Brown Stazon ink. I only used the the three colors of ink with an aquapainter to do the coloring. Well, that isn't 100% true, I did however use a gray marker from Anna Wights Ebay store to add some shadows. She is right, it is the perfect color for shadows!! The image is so large it doesn't leave much room, even on a 5 1/4" card, for many embellishments or ribbon. To add a bit more interest I ran the morning marigold piece through the Cuttlebug mesh embossing folder and anchored the corners of the stamped panel with brocade blue brads. The really rust layer is also up on dimensionals. This was a fun card!
Happy day to you!
