I'm BAAAACK!!!

Sunday morning greetings to you! I was up early and had time before church to stamp and post. I am sorry for my absence and since this is a stamping blog and not my personal diary...suffice it to say it has been a really tough week but God is good and I know we are in His loving care.
My LSS is closing its doors in April...boooo hooo. I went up there 2 weeks ago and did my share of helping the inventory reduction process, LOL. Two of the stamps I bought are on this card, both by Hero Arts, the distressed block background and the sentiment. The background is inked in bordering blue. I love that color, it is more of a neutral in my book, kinda like a blue gray. I inked the Art of Life flower in always artichoke and bravo burgundy and when I stamped it, ugh, the flower didn't completely stamp so I tried again. I wasn't shooting for a double image but I think it works. I used my distressing tool on the edges of the vanilla panel, mounted it onto a piece of artichoke and adhered it with dimensionals. I found a piece of Floral stamped burgundy in my scrap pile that fit the bill perfectly. I did stamp just a light touch of Flannel onto the bordering blue card base so it looks distressed rather than like flannel. I tied 2 scrap pieces of ribbon around a pewter spiral clip and called it good. This is my kinda card, aaahhh, it feels good to stamp again!
Blessings on your day!!

Very pretty card! I love the color combo, I've used it a bit myself, and the composition of the card is just great! TFS

Isn't it great when a mistake works out to look even better than the original idea!! I hope life eventually turns around for you.

Thanks for blogging -- you inspire me :-)

Oooo very pretty ... and I like the double stamping (usually I don't care for that look but it really works here). Thanks for such an inspiring blog to read.

I really like the double image you made with the flower. I pray that everything is falling into place at your end.
