Pot O' Blog Candy!!

Happy St. Patty' Day!! My last name is Harp and though I certainly am not Irish (German/American!!) and my husband has little if any Irish in him, with a name like Harp, we feel obligated to wear the green. We are under a heavy snow advisory and I am sick so there will be no party for us today to celebrate with my nephew. I am really bummed!!
My blog has passed 20,000 hits though so we must celebrate that. I have a few goodies to give away...some textured cards w/ envies, some of the Hot Hues cards/envies I posted about earlier, MM ribbon brads, Stardust Gelly roll pens, jumbo flowers and a jumbo paper clip.
I will draw one winner Sunday night, 9pm EST. Just leave a comment and tell me your favorite movie. Whenever my DH goes away I sit down to the second half of the A&E 5 hour Pride and Prejudice series. I can't get enough of Colin Firth!! Since I am planning on spending most of my day on the sofa I may need to indulge myself even with hubby around!!
Thanks for all who stop in for a peek into my stampings and doings!!
Blessings to you this day!!

My favorite movie boy, that's hard! Ummm...all I can think of right now is Pretty Woman! I have so many that I have enjoyed!

My favorite movie is one I just saw last week. " Music and Lyrics " was so funny and cute. I didn't know that Hugh Grant could sing!!! Great show for a night out with the girls!

Hmm, my favorite movie, well if you go by the one I've actually watched the most and quote in almost all daily life, then it would be Emperor's New Groove. Love it!!!

My favorite movie is Overboard with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. I have watched it so much I tend to quote it in my everyday life! Congrats on the hits - that's awesome!

One of my all-time favorite is The Music Man with Shirley Jones and Robert Preston! It's one of those timeless musicals; the singing is great, the acting is good, and the characters are too funny.

My DH and I have the same favorite movie - "Father of the Bride" - the Steve Martin one. With 3 daughters (two married now), this movie is SO touching and SO hilarious!

I hope you're better soon, Tracy. I'm sick too - I've got bronchitis and a very bad throat infection. Wed and Thurs night I had this awful fever. Thurs night it got up to 103.5 and I thought I was gonna die! I saw the doctor yesterday and got the Z-pack. My fever is now staying under 101! I haven't even been up to stamping - at ALL! Hopefully soon....

Wow! Oh what a fun way to celebrate ... I'd love to join in. I don't watch movies often and I am a old fashioned girl at heart so I generally like old musicals like My Fair Lady and Sound of Music and Wizard of Oz. I would say a favorite movie that is not a musical would be Fried Green Tomatoes. (hee hee hee! I can't pick just one favorite color either!!)

Favorite Moveie? That's a hard one. If you asked my sister, she could name a bunch of movies. Growing up, it had to be The Princess Bride since my entire family could quote more than our fair share of the lines. I'll have to start watching more movies so I can find a more recent "favorite!"

my old time, all time favorite movie is Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. For a newer film....perhaps While You Were Sleeping or You've Got Mail.

Oh, I know...those are really new. But I don't get to many movies. I love the Harry Potter ones.

I can't tell you how many times I've watched Pride and Prejudice...Colin is truely McDreamy! Of course then there's Mr. Knightly in Emma! How does one choose? You can't go wrong with Jane Austin!

Linda Nicholson said...

Hmmm...this is a hard one (as I have many favorite movies). I would have to say "The Princess Bride" as I can't tell you how many times that I've watched it. Guess that must mean that I'm a hopeless romantic at heart.

Wow ... my favourite movie ... it's DIRTY DANCING. I've watched over and over so many times since it's release that I can almost recite everyone's lines. I love the dance myself and I get such enjoyment out of watching others dance well. Hmmm ... maybe I'll go back and stamp some now with that movie to keep me company ... again!

I don't watch too many movies, but I love Jim Carrey, so any of his movies (Liar Liar, Ace Ventura, Dumb and Dumber). :) Great blog candy too! :)

You are right...that Pride and Prejudice has had many plays in my house! I also like A Room With a View, the Anne of Green Gables movies from the CBC and anything from the 80s with Molly Ringwald (Pretty in Pink, Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles).

Ferris Bueller's Day Off I was 17 years old when this movie came out (1986) and it was just perfect for that time in my life. I still get a HUGE kick out of it to this day.

Happy St. Patty's Day!! One of my all time favorites is Grease. An alternative (if you don't want a musical) would have to be Notting Hill -- makes me cry every time I see it!!

Hope you are feeling better soon.

Ohhh I hope you are feeling better soon. Something is definitely going around, lot of people are down!

Hmm...this was surprsingly tough question! I thought I was a movie addict but apparently not! Pride and Predudice is awesome, even the old B&W version. Italian Job is good too...I am waiting for the 2nd. But an abosolutely funny movie was "Hitch" with Will Smith. He is so great!

Thanks for the candy offerings!

Do I have to pick just one? My favorite funny movie is Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Sean Penn is hilarious in that movie and I love watching it today and laughing at all the 80's high school stereotypes. My favorite "serious" movie is Glory. I love absolutely everything about it and I'm not a huge Civil War buff.

One of my all time favorite movies is Dead Poet's Society...I'm totally blanking on the name, but my other one has Ben Affleck, Robin Williams and Matt Damon..oh why can't I think of it. that's going to bother me all night! RATS!

My favorite movie is Finian's Rainbow. Fred Astaire, leprechauns, dancing, Glocca Mora. I evennamed my first daughter after a river mentioned in the song-here name is SHannon. Everyone thought I was a bit daft growing up and loving this movie-I think it was an allegory on the civil rights movement as a play and ahead of its time.

Right now my fav. movie is Lake House.

You know, I'm not Irish either, but it's my birthday. That works out if I ever need a party to go to on St. Patty's Day, but not when I try to get friends together, because everyone got places to go.
