Good morning. My mothers plane was delayed so we didn't get in until 11:30 last night. This morning I am draggin'!
Next Saturday I am going to Syracuse to a SCS gathering. I have all my swaps done and my shoebox projects prepped. I will upload those after the event. We also have to make a name tag for the day. I have had these rigid plastic baseball card sleeves for a year now for one of those ideas that never came to life. I figured it was light weight enough to be turned into a name tag. I used a Printworks stamp and cut out the daisy vase portion of the image. I colored it in with ink and an aquapainter. The polka dots on the vase are highlighted with a white gel pen. In order to carry on the polka dot theme, I stamped the celery card stock with the Cornish Heritage Farms Polka Dots background with white craft ink. Our name tag needs to include our real name as well as our SCS name so people can better identify us. I used my label maker to print out "Tracy" but it seemed a little boring so I added an epoxy sticker letter and mounted the label onto black card stock. My SCS name is done with a Dymo label makers. I had some black and white polka dot ribbon so I attached a small tab with a white brad. I used one of those self adhesive pin backs for the back. I love the way it turned out.
I can't wait to until Saturday...friends, food and lots of stamping!
