I got the latest PaperTrey set, Little Lady, and boy is it cute!! It has been calling my name since Friday and at long last I was able to answer!! I loved what Nicole Heady did on her blog using these colors so I thought I would start there. I created a OSW on white card stock. The ladybug body was inked in more mustard and rolled in pumpkin pie. The flowers are done in ruby red and then some black accents to fill in the gaps. I was able to get 6 cards from my 8 1/2 X 11 piece.
On the first set I used the Marvy circle scallop punch with black card stock. On the card on the right I stamped an extra ladybug but this time inked the body in pumpkin and rolled it in ruby red. I cut out the wings, slit them down the middle and attached them with dimensionals. Of course I really liked those colors better than my first choice but it was too late by then.
On this second set I used a scalloped square punch in the mega size and then used a corner punch on the square to add just a little accent to the two corners.
I just played with the colors a bit and like the end results. I have a card in mind for the next time I use this set.
A couple of years ago we had an infestation of ladybugs around town. Whole sides of houses covered with them. Actually I think they weren't ladybugs but looked very similar. They grossed me out for a long time. This cute set is helping me recover from those bad memories, LOL!

OMG! I love these! I have to try these colors. I haven't had time to play with this set yet, I think you just provided my inspiration.
These are magnificent!
All of these are awesome! Oh man - do I need these too??!
Love the cards. I think I need to step oout of my SU rut and try some of the wonderful other stamp set out there. I remember that infestation. I usually love lady bugs, but having them all ove the side of the house was gross. We are heading to Holley next week. Hope we can connect sometime during the month we are there. i It will be good to catch up.
You rock! These are great and I love the colors you used! TFS!
