Pearly Purple Dress

I am sure you have read it before, but I am a bargain hunter. It is one of my joys to find good deals. One of the places I like to visit on occasion is Big Lots. I think I already told you about the purple leather Relic watch I found for $5.00!! I have been wearing a lot of purple outfits lately to go with my new watch, LOL!! Sometimes I find fun scrapping stuff to use for cards. Last week they had several great items, all 1.00 or less, like an entire bin of Card Connection items. CC makes all kinds of embellishments for scrap booking or card making and they usually run $3-4 a package. I found a package of these purple dresses and I thought I could make something fun with them. They were packaged as a bridal item and I suppose this could be used as a bridal shower card but I think it has more possibilities. The dresses come just as you see them, flowers, beads and all, even adhesive on the back. I just needed to create something to mount it onto. The card is lavender lace. The black panel is embossed with the CuttleBug swirl folder. The flowers behind the dress are from a stamp in the Fairy Tale Wedding set (boo hoo, another one that is retiring). I used an aquapainter to color them in. The sentiment is from Warmest Regards and punched with the label punch. I highlighted the black letters with a lavender marker. Three purple brads and some organdy ribbon finish it off. I am not a dress kinda gal myself, but this dress doesn't require me to wear pantyhose so it's okay in my book!!
Have a great day!

How pretty and creative this is! I love the way the "Cuttled" black layer really makes the main image stand out.

I think that would be cute to give to a bridesmaid as a thank you card :)
