On Monday I traveled back to Rochester with my boys for the day. My host club meeting was that night so we thought we would take advantage and catch up with friends and family. I have been so busy unpacking and cleaning that it kinda crept up on me how much I miss my friends. Our land line is up now so I think that will help. The older you get the harder it is to find new friends, not just people you "know". KWIM??
I think the lady at the new stamping store I found thinks I am stalking her, LOL!! I have stopped in 3x's this past week alone! This last time I noticed they had put out a bunch of new Whipper Snapper stamps. I recognized this mug as one drawn by none other than Anna Wight so it was for sure coming home with me! Isn't it adorable??
I was in the mood for a square card so I made this one 4.25". I used groovy guava textured card stock for the base. I am loving the textured stuff!! I stamped the mug with the new basic gray ink pad (lovin' that too) and colored it in with guava and pomegranate. Such yummy colors aren't they? The sentiment is by Amuse. I added a bit of gray shadows, matted it with pomegranate and tied on some American Crafts polka dot ribbon. I think it will be a perfect card to send to one of my friends I am missing so much.
I continue to tinker with lighting and photographing my stuff. At my old house it worked out well to take photos by the sliding door to the deck. But I always had to wait for daylight. I had my eyes on an Ott lite but even with a coupon they are pricey. While I was in Rochester Monday I stopped into the Christmas Tree Shoppe. They had a natural spectrum light for 16.99!! I thought it was worth a try and sure enough it works really well. I love finding a less expensive alternative.
Thanks for visiting.
