Hero Birds

Last fall I purchased a set of bird stamps by Hero Arts. Up until 3 days ago they still sat in plastic. I was catching up on some blogs and came across Heather Nichols blog where she posted a card using one of the birds. That was all the motivation I needed to finally ink them up. This first card is totally inspired by her creation. She does amazing things with kraft card stock. drool....

Last night I had a class and we did the floating window technique. I showed this technique not too long ago. The stamps were laying out and were the perfect size for my project. The bird is stamped onto acetate and on the inside of the card so the photo looks blurry but you get the idea. I thought the Hero bird was a good match to one of the new Cuttlebug embossing folders. The sentiment is by Amuse. We used markers to color in the bird. Not a difficult card.

Tonight my boys and I went to the high school to watch a basketball game between the teachers and the Harlem Wizards. Have you ever seen them? I think they are a junior version of the Globetrotters. One of the players has spent time playing with the Globetrotters. It was a delightful time! Fun music, comedy, cool skills...totally fun. My ears are ringing a bit from the loud music but I will get over it. My boys loved it.
Blessings!

I love the birdie cards. I bring my nephew every year to see the globetrotters. He's 8 and we've seen them 5 times. He loves them and it is such a good time watching all the silliness. He's a sports freak and I just love watching him get all excited over the performance.
