It's Monday!

Well, I had good intentions of posting again and I even stamped, but I had one of those days (actually 2) where everything I stamped ended up getting pitched! It is so disappointing to spend time stamping, wanting to create something, anything, and you suddenly feel like you forgot how. It is all yucky, lol! So I walked away from it for a day and yesterday was better.

Here is a little something I made last night instead of watching the game. I saw a template on-line for a mason jar but it wouldn't print up correctly so I made my own. It really wasn't that hard, just a few cuts here and there with some scissors. This card started with a piece of regal rose cut 4.25" by 11, folded in half (the fold is at the top). I trimmed my corners and lid. Then I cut a piece of silver cardstock and ran it through the crimper for the lid portion. I used my Creative Memories oval cutter to create the large oval in the front of the card. Since there wasn't much stamping going on I added a little sponging around the edges so it didn't look so flat. The candy is in a small SU cello bag and simply taped into place behind the window. As cute as it was, it needed something so I created a tag for it using the Labeliscious set. The "love" is only a portion of a stamp from the Short and Sweet stamp set. There are so many possibities with this idea. I would love to see what you could come up with. Leave me a link if you do!

I also wanted to share something non-stamping, yet hand made. The ladies from church had a night out at a pottery place last week. We had such a good time talking and painting our pieces. I went with a mug this time and just love how it turned out. I used my favorite color, lime/celery green and added some teal polka dots and stripes. It makes me happy! We plan to go again and I think I will make another and another, until I have a set.
Have a great day!

CUTE!!! Love both things today. That mug is so happy in those colors - add a little coffee and someone's bound to start the day off great.

your jar is just darling, Tracy! And great job on the mug! That sounds like fun...I wish there was someplace close by to try it! I remember when I was a young girl... I used to do ceramics. A neighbor had a shop. Thanks for bringing back that memory!
