A Stack of Thank You's

Happy Wednesday! The sun is peeking out so I hope we are done with the freezing rain for awhile. Sun is good ;).
I have a very long list of thank you cards to send out. It has been weighing on me to get them done for some time now. This Lockhart hydrangea stamp is becoming one of my favorites! At first I thought the image was too small but oh my aching hand, lol!! I stamped a dozen on a sheet and set out to color them with Copic markers. This image took 10 markers to complete and 2 hours to do the whole stamped sheet. I actually did 2 sheets over the course of 2 days. Definitely not a quick process but it was good therapy and practice. I also was able to do this while watching a movie with the boys, well, more listening than watching for me. My order of rectangle nestability dies came in the mail on Monday from Ellen Hutson's store so I had to use those. Again, what a time consuming process when it involves 19 cards!! Each card required 3 passes through the Wizard. The Wizard makes this ratcheting sound and I think DH thought I must be building something in the basement, lol. It shows dark in the photo but the image is matted with elegant eggplant to tie in with the hydrangeas. The last element was a piece of vellum that I ran through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots folder. I love that look, but again, 19 passes through the CB! Mass production has it's place but I am glad I don't have to do it all the time.
On Monday I had to sit around a waiting room for several hours while my son participated in a medical research study. I took along a clip board, 2 sheets of stamped images and a bag full of markers. That was the fastest waiting room time ever!! Think about stamping a sheet full of images the next time you know you will be waiting for awhile. It will pass the time quicker and you will have a great start on some cards!
Thanks for stopping by!

very cute! I recently found a small tote I forgot I had. I decided to put my small clipboard and colored pencils (no copics here yet) into it along with some House Mouse images. I love the House Mouse but never seem to find the time to give 'em some love. LOL.
