Ahhhh, new stamps! I had a chance to play last night and made several things I will share with you over the next few days. I am really loving some of the new In Colors. I am always sad to see the old ones go but each year I find a new favorite. This year it is definitely the baja breeze. Oh my is it a lovely color. It pairs nicely with the kiwi kiss and chocolate chip. Just a warning, you will see me use a lot of baja breeze this week!
This is the first card I made with the new stuff, this Upsy Daisy stamp set was high on my list. The silhouette style makes it a great stamp for easy/quick cards. Here I inked it in kiwi kiss, sponged on some baja breeze and used a chocolate chip marker to go over the stems. I know flowers don't really come in these colors but this is art and art is open to interpretation. That's my story and I am stickin' to it ;).
I sponged the edges with choc chip as well. The base of the card is kiwi stamped with the flowers in kiwi ink. The stamp makes a lovely background. I used the new Curly Label bundle for the accent at the top. I love the stamps and punch in this kit. I will get a lot of use out of this set I can tell. And the punch is just fun! Here I folded the punch in half and attached it around my focal image. I added a brown brad in the bottom left corner.
Last night I cooked up 2 batches of spaghetti sauce and this morning I have 2 more cooking. If you are overflowing with tomatoes from the garden this is a wonderful recipe for sauce. I did add green and red peppers to mine and dropped uncooked meatballs and Italian sausage into while it was simmering. The meat comes out so tender and it flavors the sauce so wonderfully. Since I use meat in mine, I put it in freezer bags and stick it in the freezer. I have canned the sauce without meat and it was good but we definitely prefer the meat version.
Thanks for stopping, have a great day!

Gorgeous card, Tracy! I love how you sponged the color on the flowers for the variation. But I wish everyone would stop making me want this set!
Have been wondering how Holly and family are doing on the cross-country move? Have you heard from her at all? She is definitely missed!
OHHHHHH!!! I like this color pop!!
