On Sunday I am setting up a table at a local vendor show. I was asked last year to participate and had quite a nice time so I said I would return again this year. The organizer of the show does it as a fundraiser and this year the money will be going to the local library. My cost to participate is minimal and because it is a local event I figure at the very least it helps me get my name out there and meet some people. Thankfully, my friend Lynn is going with me this year so we are sharing the task of making some items for sale.
Since I don't have anything else to show you, I thought I would share a couple of items I made.
Snowman poop is always one of those items that I sell a lot of. I updated my topper this year by using the Top Note Sizzix die from SU and the Just Rite circle stamper. The poem for this one is on the back. Since we are a big hunting area I also made up some deer poop bags for the guys. At the very least I know I can give one to my husband and senior pastor 'cause I know they are going to come up empty again this year, lol!! In case you can't read it, it says " I hunted and hunted, but "oh shoot", all I found this season was deer poop." The poem was originally for moose but we don't have those around here. The deer is from the hostess set Deer Friends.
I love to make memo cubes at Christmas time too, they make great teacher gifts. We live very close to Lake Ontario and the vendor show is actually at a restaurant on the lake so I made a few sailing themed cubes. This stamp is from the SU retired set, Set Sail, and fit perfectly onto the sides of the cube. It is hard to see the detail but I inked it up in bordering blue and added night of navy and close to cocoa marker to certain spots. After I was done stamping I sponged all the edges with bordering blue. The cubes and cello bags came from Stamp on This, you can find a link on the side.
Perhaps this will be helpful to some of you as you think of stocking stuffers or small ideas for giving this holiday season.
Have a great day!
