A Sea of Pink and Grey

Good Monday Morning! I spent a lot of time in my stamp studio this weekend...cleaning and sorting!! The SCS WNY Spring Fest I am hosting is now less than 3 weeks away and there is much to do! The prizes, supplies and swaps have been piling up making the room barely navigable! It is much better now but it took most of my time.

While I was blog surfing I came across Jen's sketch for the week and it was just the direction I needed to stamp. I had just an hour left before bed and didn't want the whole weekend to go by without stamping a single thing. I think it may be the first time I have participated in one of her sketches and this one is a fun one!

It gave me a chance to use some of my new goodies from the Occasions Mini catalog, the Great
Friend stamp set and the Walk in the Park DP. I stuck to strictly SU on this one though I have these perfectly matching grey brads I would have loved to add! The butterfly was stamped twice, one cut out and mounted on the other with a dimensional. The card stock is regal rose but I used pretty in pink ink for the main panel as I wanted a more muted look. Usually I reserve white card stock for stamping ON but it also makes a nice layering color once in awhile.

We woke up this morning to high winds and a school cancellation due to a power outage. Thankfully we still have power but my son's school is right up on Lake Ontario and they are in the dark this morning. Unfortunately, there is still power at church so I have to go to work while they stay home and play all day. Starting this evening we also have a snow storm heading our way, ugh!! I was really starting to enjoy the onset of spring too!
Thanks for stopping by, have a blessed day!
