Whenever something unexpected would happen my Dad would tell me to "mark it on the calendar". Now, it usually was in reference to me actually doing a chore without being asked or doing something nice for my little brother ;). Oh how those words dripped with sarcasm! But his voice is ringing in my head today as many things have happened that deserve to be "marked on the calendar"! Today there is no sarcasm though...just an overwhelming sense of blessing.
Our LSS held a garage sale on Saturday and I used the opportunity to clean out some of my stuff. Any money from the sale would be given to us in the form of a store gift certificate. When I went into the store yesterday I was handed a certificate for $286!! I about fell over! My stamping budget has been pretty lean and this was such a huge blessing! Can you imagine how BIG my eyes were as I slowly looked through the store, lol? New cutter...check, new stamps...check, new papers...check!
Last week I entered my name for some blog candy from Cornish Heritage Farms. This week I found out I won! Wahoo! New rubbah...ahhh! I have been playing along with their Summer Design Challenges and guess what?? I just found out that my paper piecing tree card was chosen the week 2 winner! Double Wahoo! I am so excited I can hardly stand it.
I haven't shared about it here, but I have been praying for and seeking a full-time job since February. I have taken exams and gone on interviews. Two weeks ago I had an interview that I was very hopeful about. But they hired someone else. I was offered a part time position but what I really need is full-time so I kindly declined. I received a call back from them yesterday and they have decided to add an additional full timer and offered me the position! I will start after our family vacation in 3 weeks. This is huge is so many ways!
And I have to share one more blessing...my friend Lynn. It is her birthday today. She has been a special gift to me and I so appreciate her. Here is the card I made for her. Excuse my crooked picture. The stamp is by Obsession Impression and I colored it with Copic markers. The small gable box is from Taylored Expressions and I used it to package a small gift.
My cup runneth over!!

I had a week just like you're having last month, so I know where you're coming from! I LOVE that garage sale idea from your LSS... I may have to consider doing something like that. Praise God for all your blessings this week! Enjoy!
