Time is going by so fast I can hear it whirrring!
I wanted to share a quick gift packing idea with you today. Quick is good these days right?
You may have seen these wooden boxes before, you can find them for a buck at the craft stores. They come unfinished so I used some acrylic paint and a foam brush to paint my box red. It doesn't take long to dry, go fix dinner and when you are done you can move onto the next step. Find some pretty paper, cut it to size and adhere it to the front and back. Glue or sticky strip work well. I added a bit of ribbon to mine using sticky strip to adhere it. The bow came together thanks to the Bow Easy. Then I stamped a tree, cut it out, added some rhinestones and put it onto the front of my box.
These will hold gift cards, a few yummy chocolates, jewelry or any number of gifts you may find need of giving. Making 3 or more wouldn't take much more time than one, then you will have several ready when you need them.
I don't think I have ever shared here before that I also keep a family blog. It helps me keep this one mostly stamping related. Anyway, I am working on making this Christmas more meaningful for my family. I know this is a struggle for many since the world bombards us with commercialism. Today I posted the first of 12 tips for a meaningful Christmas. If you want to follow along, here is Tip #1: Advent Devotions.
Blessings on your day!
