Masterpiece

I do not like it at all when hubby is out of town! As a pastor he doesn't usually need to leave home much. I don't know how those with traveling hubbies do it and for those with deployed spouses...well, I say extra prayers for those families. The same goes for single parents. Greg and I are such a team that when he is away something is definitely missing. I shared last week how I had gotten some quickie 24 hour stomach bug. Since a week had passed I figured everyone else was safe since these kind of things usually pass to the next one quickly. Nope! In the middle of the night our oldest was tossing his cookies in the bathroom. Poor guy! I hope the other shoe doesn't drop with son #2.

Now that I shared that fun tidbit, lol, here is a card we are doing in a class tonight. We'll be making our own Monet-like background with Distress inks.

The paper we are using is Curious Iridescent Cryogen White and it is one of my favorites for taking a simple card over the top. The subtle shimmer is so yummy! We are using the new Distress ink color Tumbled Glass with some Shabby Shutters green. The flowers are Penny Black and the sentiment is from CHF (Motivational Centers). Can you see the additional shimmer on the flowers? Just a hint of a clear glitter pen. I can't wait to see how these turn out tonight as they will all be slightly different...each one its own masterpiece!

Greg is starting a Doctorate program in June and he will be gone for 2 weeks twice a year for class work. I guess these couple of days are just my training time. I can do it, I just hope the cookie tossing is done.

Thanks for stopping!

Great card, Tracey! Sorry to hear about your son not feeling well...definitely not fun! When my hubby is gone (not at work...hunting), I take the time to relax and stamp!
