Pole Shortage

Last night we had the joy of watching our boys band concerts. Our younger son is in 6th grade and this was the last concert for his teacher. Her part-time position has fallen victim to funding shortages. She will be missed, she did such an incredible job with the students. Both our boys play percussion and they are at the age where you see and hear improvement with each performance.

I have been having some pains the last few days that have made it impossible to stamp. I am hoping it is just post-op stuff and will improve shortly. I was feeling so good that this is a bit discouraging. I hope to get a chance to stamp again soon but in the mean time here is a card I made for a CHF release last week.

The new set is the Thomas Kinkade Expressions set and for this card I paired it up with a Sara England stamp called Gone Fishing. My brother and my oldest are big fans of fishing so this stamp gets a lot of use. We also live by the Niagara River which apparently has some of the best fishing around. I wouldn't know, fishing holds absolutely no appeal to me, lol.

This is a photo taken of our oldest while fishing on the Niagara River last year.

Fun Fact: The Niagara River is one of only a few rivers in the world that flows north. It was also the last hurdle for many slaves traveling the underground railroad. They would have to cross the river to freedom in Canada.

That's it for now, thanks for visiting!

Ingredients:
CHF Thomas Kinkade Expressions and Sara England Gone Fishing, Pink Paisley DP, Quickutz embossing folder, black brads, Memento Tuxedo Black ink, dimensionals.

WOW, that's a big fish, my hubby would love to catch something like that! Like the card, I try to get some stamps that are fishing related too!

Hi Tracy, What a big fish, it looks like a big bass, what a catch! That must have been exciting, well I guess the smile on his face says it all. Your card would make a great Father's Day card. That's a holiday that's hard for me to be creative with. Nice job, Blessings to you, Rea
