Snowy Cuddles

Happy Monday! Our weekend flew by. My mom and I did some farm stand shopping so we enjoyed some incredible sweet corn and then froze about 3 dozen ears, cooked up a batch of blackberry jam, cooked up some spaghetti sauce with all our tomatoes and have peaches on the list to tackle next. I hope to have a few recipes to share this week since the bulk of my free time has been spent in the kitchen rather than my stamp room. I have to take advantage of this time with my mom and she is not at all into paper crafting. We are having a grand time in the kitchen though.

Today is another challenge over at the Stampavie blog, this time a sketch. This is the sample I made.
My Christmas stamps finally arrived so I dove right into that stack, choosing this "Snowy Cuddles" stamp from the Penny Johnson line. Aren't they adorable? I found I have very little Christmas paper in my stash so this is some MME paper that I made work. I really liked the color and the cool blue works with the snowmen. I cut a strip of the paper and embossed the backside with a Cuttlebug snowflake folder. I sanded it a bit to expose the white core. The embellishment is a K & Co chipboard sticker. I added lots of glitter to the snow and trim on her hat.
We hope you will play along. There is a prize given away randomly with each challenge!

What a sweet card, your colouring is fabulous and the stitching finishes it off so nicely.
